Boat in San Francisco, CA

BOTTOM LINE is a clean and well maintained yacht that has low hours and is nicely appointed. With twin screws and a SidePower Bow Thruster she is an easy boat to maneuver in tight quarters docking situations.

Bayliner built the 3488 for two years in 2001 and 2002. In 2003, the company re-branded to Meridian Yachts and the 3488 became the Meridian 341. It is the identical yacht with a less expensive price tag.

Built on a solid fiberglass hull with modest deadrise aft and an integral swim platform the 3488's conservative styling and practical mid-cabin floor plan make for an altogether pleasant and practical family cruiser. Both staterooms are fitted with large double berths and the large head compartment has a separate stall shower. The well appointed up-galley to starboard in the salon has plenty of counter and cabinet space and there is a lower helm station as well.

On deck the flybridge overhang provides shade in the cockpit. Safe molded steps lead to the bridge deck which is large for a 34 foot yacht with plenty of guest seating. BOTTOM LINE features a full canvas and isinglass glass enclosure.

Cons:

  1. Older Design: Being a 2002 model, some buyers may find the design and finishes to be dated compared to more modern boats. Upgrades may be necessary to meet personal aesthetic preferences.

  2. Maintenance Considerations: Like any used boat, potential buyers should be aware of the maintenance history. Older boats may require more frequent repairs and upkeep, especially if not maintained properly by previous owners.

  3. Limited Speed: While the 3488 is stable and comfortable, it may not be the fastest option on the water. Those seeking high-speed performance might find it lacking.

In summary, the 2002 Bayliner 3488 Command Bridge is an excellent choice for those seeking a spacious, comfortable cruiser with solid performance. However, potential buyers should weigh the pros and cons, particularly regarding maintenance and design preferences.
