Accomodations

Accommodations – Unmatched for her size

Few boats in the 40-foot range come close to the interior volume, storage, and livability of the Caliber 40 LRC.

  • Forward Owner’s Suite Instead of the typical cramped V-berth, you’ll find a generous, offset queen-size Pullman berth to port, complete with a custom mattress and excellent storage drawers and lockers beneath. A bookshelf is mounted outboard above the berth. To starboard lies a large cedar-lined hanging locker with shelving, plus additional drawer storage under the berth. The private en-suite head is truly spacious and luxurious: it features a separate walk-in shower with a large Plexiglas door, a roomy vanity/sink area with generous counter space, and abundant storage both above and below.

  • Aft Guest Stateroom A wide double berth (excellent as a secure sea berth when passage-making) is complemented by a large cedar-lined hanging locker, under-berth storage, and direct private access to the aft head—offering guests real privacy and comfort.

  • Main Salon Bright, airy, and richly finished in warm teak, the salon benefits from 6'5" headroom and the boat’s generous beam. A large, bulkhead-mounted folding table stows away completely, creating an open, spacious “living room” ideal for relaxing, voyage planning, or watching movies. When lowered and the leaf extended, it becomes a very comfortable dining table for six or more. Storage is exceptional: deep lockers above, below, and behind both settees, plus bookshelves with lee bars. The port L-shaped settee converts easily into a double berth for extra guests, while the starboard settee includes a lee cloth for use as a secure pilot berth under way.

  • Heads Both heads are private when needed. The aft head doubles as a convenient day head accessible from the salon, giving guests in the aft cabin complete privacy at night.

Systems & Comfort

A high-capacity electrical system provides exceptional off-grid comfort:

  • Victron MultiPlus inverter
  • Substantial solar array
  • Large 48 V lithium battery bank

Two power twin reverse-cycle air conditioning units, delivering quiet, efficient climate control at the dock, underway or at anchor—no noisy generator required. In short, this Caliber 40 LRC offers rare levels of comfort, storage, tankage, privacy, and offshore capability in a boat that remains easy to handle for a couple or singlehanded—truly one of the finest live-aboard and passage-making yachts in her size range.
