Hull Construction
The Monticello River Yachts were designed as a river style house boat. The hull is 1/4" aluminum with a keel that provides a smooth a true handling boat in current conditions.
The Monticello Difference
THE MONTICELLO RIVER YACHT DIFFERENCE:
- CRUISER BOW – A cruiser bow allows the Monticello to slice through waves instead of riding over the top of them. Eliminates the pounding and “shuddering” you get on conventional lake-style hulls.
- V-HULL WITH KEEL – The Monticello has a V-shaped hull that runs the entire length of the boat. We also add an 8” deep V-shaped keel to the center of the hull bottom. These two designs allow the Monticello to track straight, eliminating the constant “wandering” experienced on conventional hull designs. This also allows the boat to turn like a cruiser which eliminates the sideways sliding in a turn.
- REAL INBOARD POWER – The twin engine V-drive inboard drive systems provide the captain with a higher level of handling capabilities over a boat with twin stern drive ( i.e. outdrive) systems.
- PERFORMANCE – The Monticello River Yacht will actually plane off like a cruiser and lean into the turn when on plane, like a cruiser. You can actually cruise at 16 – 18 mph and run in the mid 20’s at WOT!
